Needed a fast dinner last night that wouldn't make too much of a mess of
the kitchen since we are leaving on vacation, so grabbed an old
reliable~ frozen raviolis. This bread was a great side and I like the
addition of the parm cheese.
Golden Garlic Bread
1/3 cup butter, softened (I melted mine by accident, so used a brush to coat bread)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 to 2 garlic cloves, minced (used one, definitely will use 2 next time)
1 teaspoon dried basil (used Penzey's Italian Herb seasoning)
1 loaf (1 pound) French bread, halved lengthwise (used italian bread)
a bowl, combine the butter, Parmesan cheese, garlic and basil; mix
well. Spread over cut sides of bread. Place on an ungreased baking
sheet. Broil 4 in. from the heat until golden brown, about 3 minutes.
Cut into 3-in. pieces. Yield: 6-8 servings.
